Philippe has been leading various projects since 2018. His ability to motivate a team and to respond and empathize with the actors in front of and behind the camera makes for a focused yet relaxed atmosphere on set. His work is characterized by a high degree of creativity and aesthetics. Art is his ultimate goal.
2022: Director for the music video series for the 70th anniversary of the Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR-Klassik) music show Tafel-Confect.
“Most of the videos were shot in the recently inaugurated Franken Studio in Nuremberg and conceived by Franco-German director Philippe Matic-Arnauld des Lions. Sometimes poetic, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, but always surprising, they show music from the past for a contemporary audience."

2021: Director for the music video production "Rosenkranzsonate, Franz Biber" for the Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR-Klassik).
The ensemble "Les Passions de l'Âme" is known for its recordings of baroque music by Biber. In cooperation with BR-KLASSIK Franken, a music video was shot in a former granary in Lehrberg in Middle Franconia to capture this unique atmosphere and music.
2020: Director for the short film "Nie Solo" by Hubertus Hinse for the Bayerischer Rundfunk.
A virus is spreading in a world. It has already infected all computers, laptops and mobile phones. Who is behind this? Is it just a fake? Or does a little fun degenerate into a serious problem?
Since 2019: Director for the youth series "iam.Justmyself" (formerly iam.Serafina), produced by BR-PULS on behalf of ARD-funk.
iam.Justmyself is a purely multimedia series that picks up young people from where they consume today, on the Internet, straight to their mobile phones. Due to constant interaction in the new media, this project is unique in the film landscape of public broadcasters.
